2. Principle: data minimisation
This website works without tracking, analytics tools, advertising cookies or embedded third-party services. Fonts are loaded locally from our own server; no data is transmitted to Google or other third parties.
3. Server log files
When you access the website, our hosting provider automatically collects information transmitted by your browser: browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, host name or IP address of the accessing computer and time of the request. This data is technically necessary to deliver the website and ensure its security (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). It is not combined with other data sources. Log files are automatically deleted after a short period.
4. Contact form and event registration
If you send us an enquiry via the contact form or register for an event, we process the information you provide (name, email address, subject, message and, optionally, title, phone, company and position) to handle your enquiry or run the event. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and, where applicable, the performance of pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The information is sent to us by email and not passed on to third parties. It is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose and no statutory retention obligations apply. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing datenschutz@classing.de or by letter to the address above.
5. Cookies and local storage in the browser
The public part of this website does not set any cookies. Only the password-protected administration area for staff uses a technically necessary session cookie, which is deleted when you log out or close the browser.
The AAS viewer (Asset Administration Shell example) stores the display language you have chosen (German or English) in your browser’s local storage so that it is retained the next time you visit. This only happens if you actively switch the language there. The entry contains no personal data, is not transmitted to us and can be deleted at any time via your browser settings. This storage is strictly necessary for the function you have expressly requested (Section 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG).
If you open your own .aasx file in the viewer, it is processed exclusively locally in your browser and not transmitted to our server.
6. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR). Please contact datenschutz@classing.de. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, e.g. the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia.
7. Changes
We will update this privacy policy whenever changes to the website or to legal requirements make this necessary. The version published here applies.
